KAIPTC activities
The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) has conducted a series of courses and workshops at the beginning of this year.
KAIPTC participated in a workshop organised by UNOWA and ECOWAS on Challanges of Security Sector Governance in West Africa in Dakar 17 February 2010 that brought together academics and SSR field experts from civil society, ECOWAS and UNDP country offices.
A Rule of Law Pilot Course was convened by KAIPTC from 25 January to 5 February. The aim of the course was to enhance the competence of the participants and provide them with specific knowledge of the different mechanisms involved in a rule of law mission or the rule of law duties that a mission with a more general mandate may include.
KAIPTC presented its work on peacebuilding at a meeting organised by the Hiroshima Peacebuilders Center on the 20-24 February in Tokyo, Japan.
