AFDEM in cooperation with CCCPA
AFDEM Signs an MoU with the Cairo Regional Center for Training on Conflict Resolution and Peacekeeping in Africa (CCCPA).
To add to AFDEM’s recent successes, we have just signed a significant MoU with CCCPA at a very colorful ceremony in Cairo Egypt. The AFDEM Programme Manager Ms. Bongie Ncube signed the MoU on behalf of AFDEM whilst Ambassador Mrs. Soad Shalaby signed on behalf of CCCPA. The MoU will see AFDEM attending CCCPA capacity building courses and recruiting course participants onto the roster. AFDEM will actively market CCCPA course trainees for peacekeeping field missions. The first wave of courses will be held in November 2009.
The signing of the MoU with CCCPA is crucial as it gives AFDEM one foot into the North African Regional Capability (NARC), which is one of the five regions building the African Standby Force.
